Prime Minister Imran Khan was presented with an official welcome upon his arrival at the Saadabad Palace in Tehran, where he was received by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
PM Imran, who is in Iran on a two-day official visit, will hold talks with the Iranian leadership on bilateral and regional issues.
The premier will also call on Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and meet Pakistani and Iranian business community during the visit.
The prime minister landed at the Tehran International Airport on Sunday, where he was warmly welcomed by Iranian Health Minister Dr Saeed Namaki.
A smartly turned out contingent also presented him a static salute.

Later, Iranian Health Minister Dr Saeed Reza held meeting with the prime minister. During the meeting, matters of mutual interests, bilateral ties, regional and international issues and other matters were discussed.
He would call on Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Seyyed Ali Khamenei, besides holding in-depth talks with Iranian President Dr. Hassan Rouhani today (Monday). The Prime Minister will also meet Pakistani and Iranian business community during his visit.
