ISLAMABAD – Exxon-Mobil, the world biggest oil and gas organization has entered Pakistan following 10 years for the ever offshore drilling venture in history of Pakistan.
Exxon-Mobil vessels has landed at the Karachi port for exploration of oil and gas. Three supply vessels have touched base at the Karachi port after the dark hole of about three decades.
They are relied upon to begin boring (230km inside the ocean) on January 6. This is the first occasion when that any organization in Pakistan would bore in the ocean to investigate oil and gas.
Meanwhile, the cabinet on Wednesday gave an exception from expenses to organizations and joint endeavor accomplices that are involved with any production sharing consent to the legislature for offshore oil exploration and oil production exercises.
The universal oil exploration organization, ENI, in its public statement, had expressed that the organization alongside Exxon-Mobil would begin the way toward penetrating of a ultra-profound well in Kekra this month and that it would be executed inside an explicit climate window.
The hardware of the two organizations contains three stage supply vessels (PSVs), two helicopters and one drillship.
